We stopped at
Charleston, W.Va., on our way home from our Moundsville/Wheeling trip.
Lincoln and the capitol building. |
Historic marker and view of the New River. |
Memorial to coal miners. |
Another view of the capitol building. |
West Virginia's history and cultural resources building -- our friend who works at Grave Creek Mound reports to his boss at this office. |
We also ate at
Gino's Pizza. We see signs for it every year on our way to Indiana, but have never stopped. We finally did and tried a bacon pizza. It was okay. Not the best pizza we've ever had, but not the worst either.
